All web host reviews are strictly moderated and verified by us personally and manually, not by robots.

In order for your web hosting review to be accepted, we verify by one or more methods below.

Domain Name Server (DNS)

The fastest way for us to verify your review is by checking your website. You can submit your website when creating a web hosting review. The current Domain Name Server (DNS) of the your website must reflect the nameserver address of the your web host.

If you choose not to reveal your website url, we would have to resort to Proof of Account (see below) in order to verify your review.This also applies when you have changed to a new web host, and decided to review your old web host.

No domain parking, empty and under construction websites will be approved. All websites submitted must have live contents. Otherwise they would be considered as disqualified.

We at Check Web Hosting reserve the rights to request for further verification on some reviews even though the DNS reflects the same web host.

Proof of Account

If we were not able to verify a your review’s authenticity via DNS (e.g. you have switched to another web host), we would write (yes, not computer-generated email) to you for Proof of Account. A Proof of Account can be in the form of an invoice, welcome email from your web host, one of the correspondences with your web host or other relevant material. Your name/email/website domain name must be clearly stated in the Proof of Account.

To protect your privacy, you must remove all personal particulars such as address, contact number, credit card details, bank account details, etc. from the Proof of Account.
