I can't think of anything bad to say about these guys. Their support is incredible and helped me through multiple problems during our site migration. They have live chat which has been available 100% of the time I have needed it.
Sites come loaded with cPanel and WHM (host manager of cPanel). Added Drupal to our site easily through Fantastico. No issues with any of the setup.
Setting up the VPS took about 5 hours, but I don't think that is outrageous.
I have been hosting my site at Liquid Web for the past 3 months and it has been very smooth. No major issues or downtime. The only time I needed support was when a file I was trying to upload to the server was denied several times. This was rectified pretty quickly by their friendly tech support team. Performance has been great and most of the time my site loads reasonably fast. 3 months is still a little early for a proper review though. Might give an update further down the track.
Well aside from the price, Liquidweb is the best of the best. I have tested different web hosting, probably 6-7 web host companies and I must admit liquidweb is the best among them all. They always replied to my support ticket max. 15 minutes after I created it, no matter whether it's day or night. Their server is very stable too, no issue so far.
We have been with them for several years, started with the first server in the beginning of 2007 and just put up more servers, everything works perfect, never seen or expiring such a customer support.
They answer support tickets within 15 to 20 min. If you need to upgrade your server, they will do it within the hour if you want. Never ran into any troubles with them. Even while one of the servers crashed in a weekend, they replaced it within a few hours that’s awesome support.
Only minus was, while I upgraded one of my servers, I asked for just to buy the 2 GB extra ram I needed, because I would like to keep the monthly costs down, that’s not possible at all with them, I now pay $50 for 2 GB additional in my server. That means annually $600 lol.
I have to write this quick review after having one hell of a time installing a script on the server...
I have gotten stuck installing Joomla on a dedicated server we have with LiquidWeb. Of course, as with most scripts, whenever you run into a problem you are told it's a server config issue by the developers. So after exhausting all of my efforts on trying to adjust server settings without upsetting my other sites on the server, I finally fired off a note to LiquidWeb support asking them to double check my server settings.
Now, most hosting support departments I've dealt with in the past would have replied saying that it's set the way it's supposed to be, and that would be that. But LiquidWeb's response was to ask for the script URL after they confirmed the settings. They've gone in and tried diagnosing the script first hand and are going to try uninstalling/reinstalling to start from scatch. In my opinion, that's going above and beyond what even a full service host would be expected to do.
I've received email replies within an average of 2 hours after every question in this situation (and past situations). And if that isn't enough, their 24 hour phone support is always top notch. It's a pleasant surprise when a webmaster like myself receives such a high level of service. It's not all the time we come across people willing to go the extra mile to help us - especially without charging an arm and a leg. It's in critical times like this I am so very thankful I found LiquidWeb and plan to stick with them for quite a while. Their service has been the absolute best in the industry in my opinion.
I just had to share my experiences after going through this ordeal.
